Introduction to Competitive Mid-Range Rifle – Open to Members and the Public

Club Members and Public and the Public. Roughly an hour of Classroom followed by Range Time and First Shots on E-Targets @600 yards.

  4. What is Mid-Range Rifle About
  5. What do I need to Participate (Any Safe Rifle and Ammunition with Some Caveats)
  6. Rifle Classes and Times
  7. How Competitions are run and what are the formats and round count
  8. What about Practicing?
  9. Basics of Competition Flow
  10. Basics of Wind & Mirage
  11. Let’s learn how to do a 4 shot zero @100 and calculate scope or iron sight adjustments for 600 yards (and in between)
  12. What should I bring?  If you have a safe rifle with safe ammunition bring it – if it is unsuitable, we’ll have rifles you can try.
  13. Question & Answer Period
  14. For those who wish to stay longer – we will most likely have the opportunity to shoot a bit longer and hopefully will see you at the next Open Rifle Practice – Lots of Friday evenings after work and several weekends per month

There will be plenty of highly skilled shooters and coaches to help you begin your journey.
