Upcoming Events

Rifle
The Rifle Discipline has a very active schedule. Please see the Calendar above for Rifle Opportunities. The Rifle Committee Monthly meeting is now virtual and held in the evening the second Tuesday of Each Month (you can find the Teams online link in the Calendar Listing).
We support High Power Rifle, F-Class, AR-Tactical, as well as non-NRA class to encourage PRS & hunters to join us at our scheduled Competitions and Practices – the new class is F-Tactical and will allow any safe PRS or Hunting Rifle to shoot in that Class (no weight limit, or trigger pull weight shooting on the F-Class Center not the Service Rifle or TR).
OPPORTUNITIES TO SHOOT: We encourage Club Members and any potential new Safe Rifle Shooters to join us in person for our scheduled events. Between weekly Member and Guest Practice Sessions, Open Rifle Practices Open to the Public and the opportunity to give any of our scheduled competitions a try. There are several Basic Intro Sessions and more advanced training available throughout the season.
REGISTERING FOR APPROVED AND REGISTERED MATCHS: Now that our Shotmarker is dynamically linked to Target Score, please Register in Advance this link MATCH ENTRY (https://targetscore.com/). No payment is required and we can download the start list and do our squading in advance. You can always withdraw if you can’t make it and no payment is required online.
NEW SHOOTERS: are always welcome, with many of our events open to the public and all are welcome to attend. If you are new to precision shooting at distance come visit and see what it entails and how to get started. Try it you will like it!
COMMEMORATIVE MATCHES: Special Historical Matches have long been a part of the Rifle program – KOREAN Veterans: 3rd Battle of Wonju, War on Terror, May, D-Day, Vietnam, Desert Storm and our oldest Commemorative match the Battle of the Bulge are held each year.
MUZZLE BRAKES: At Committee Managed Events on the 600 yd Range from April 15th to November 1st are prohibited – Silencers/Suppressors are always welcome.
600 YARD RANGE VETTING/ORIENTATION: Please review the latest club rules on the use of the range. Older Red Vetting Cards are no longer valid. Those who wish to be re-vetted or newly vetted or oriented for range use please attend a calendared rifle event to do so to get vetted for your new black card. Newly 600yd Range Vetted Member Cards are in an envelope in the Main Clubhouse in the Rifle Mail Box in the kitchen, and are placed there about a week after vetting is completed. Note there are many cards in the envelope which have not been retrieved.
AMMUNITION: To shoot at the 500 and 600 yd lines shooters must use appropriate ammunition (.223/5.56 69 gr and heavier / .308 155 gr and heavier). In short bring accurate ammunition appropriate for your rifle and for good accuracy at those distances.

This includes NRA Approved, Registered and Regional Matches, as well as being host for several State Championships. We shoot on Electronic Targets (Shot Marker) which makes shooting more fun and less work.

NRL .22
NRL22 (National Rimfire League .22) is a fast-growing competitive shooting sport using affordable .22 LR rifles, making precision rifle shooting accessible to all ages and skill levels, with monthly matches held at the 100 – 300 yard lines of the range featuring five stages of varied targets and positions. It’s a scaled-down version of long-range precision shooting, focusing on fun, skill development, and community with standard courses of fire (COFs) released monthly.
Long Gong
We host a monthly match, stretching the limits of .22LR shooting! Competition using .22LR rifles to hit steel gongs at 300 yards, focusing on hitting progressively smaller targets (8″, 6″, 4″) for points within a time limit, testing wind reading and trigger control.
Precision Rifle Shooting (PRS)
We offer training opportunities at our Scarborough Range for PRS shooters looking to work on loads and get practice in on electronic targets for accuracy. We also will have steel targets or variable sizes at 600 yards available at Open Rifle events for practice
Open Rifle and Instruction

In addition we provide one-on-one instruction to new shooters for every Rifle Game. We also offer advanced Wind & Mirage classes as well as Introductory courses in Competitive Shooting for those looking to graduate to the next level of shooting excellence and join our traveling Team Mando Panda that competes at other National/International ranges.

More Information
Bring What you’ve got!
All of us started somewhere. Some were fortunate and started with youth programs. Some just like to plink Some like to test loads. Others just shoot for the enjoyment and pleasure and their #1 competitor is themselves. If you have a rifle and a 100 yard zero, with our guidance we will have you shooting bulls at 600 yards in one session.
Vetting – The Easy Way
Participation in any of our organized Open Rifle/Fun Matches or Practices observed by a Rifle Committee Member will qualify for vetting. This applies to both non-members (public participants). Newly vetted members will received a new black card. **If you have been vetted and not received a black card, please contact us with the date and who you were vetted by so we can get your card.
Open Rifle /Fun Matches
Open Rifle Events are open to Members and the Public. The Fee is $10 and will be shot on the e-targets. Please have your zeros for each yard line. The format for each event may be changed based on the number of shooters who participate. Check the Rifle Calendar Page for event dates.
