There is automatically a weather date – the next day.  Committee Members help out when they can after any storms to keep the Pit area and the 300 yard line clean down to the grass\, and of course NEW CLUB MEMBERS wanting hours are encouraged to lend a hand. \nOpen Rifle Practice can be pair fired (optional) or individually fired at @300yds. 10:00 AM Setup – Round Count is your choice.  We expect some impromptu fun mini-matches and some challenge fun Matches. Still for non-competition shooters we’ll help you through it. DESCRIPTION:Open Practice at 600 Yds \nBring your own rifle – FEE: $10 – To support ongoing range operations \nAs ALWAYS keep an eye on the weather and the Rifle Calendar for cancellations. \nSetup @12 pm and Shooting Starts @1:15 pm or sooner \nPair Firing will be configured as well as Individual targets. Some team practice will also been conducted. \nNo muzzle brakes are allowed – Silencers are welcome – bring them if you have them. \nBring a friend or guest (don’t forget to have them sign their release). Club Members\, Members in the Application Process and Guests can be provided assistance in sighting in their rifle (best effort) and joining the others on the 600yd Range. \nAs always\, safety is paramount.  Remember your Eyes and Ears as well as your empty chamber indicator. RSOs\, Coaches with a broad base of knowledge and a great group of people will be there to provide assistance and coaching to anyone who asks. \n \n

Early squadding and sight in please see Sight in at the bottom of the program. \nPLACE: Scarborough Fish & Game Assn.\, Inc.\, 79 Holmes Road\, Scarborough\, Maine. Located across the road from the old Beechridge Speedway\, just before or just after the large parking lot across from the Speedway depending on the direction you are coming from. \nENTRIES: Limited to 60. Advance registration appreciated. \nFEES:  $20.00 for all entrees \nCONTACT / ADVANCE REGISTRATION: Walt Turansky 480-326-2172 – turanskyw@gmail.com \nRIFLE: Any rifle that was found in the Vietnam War from any Nation Involvee – Iron Sights ONLY.  For Match Winner scoring. Shooters with ANY post-Vietnam era firearms that can meet the time limits of the course of fire is welcome and may shoot the match but are not eligible for awards. \nOPEN BOLT INDICATOR: Will be required to be used. Avail for $2.00 each. \nCOURSE OF FIRE**:  16 rounds at 100 yds No Sighters \n                                    16 rounds at 200 yds No Sighters \n                                    16 rounds at 300 yds No Sighters \n                                    Total Round Count will be 48 \nEQUIPMENT: Safe rifle\, safe ammunition\, hearing & eye protection. NO match sights\, slings or rests allowed\, but shelter halves preferred\, but mats are fine\, binoculars\, slings in the configurations used in the Korean War. If you would like to wear era uniforms from any combatant\, please do. Bayonets are optional\, but gloves are recommended. \nTARGETS: Human silhouettes with no sighters. \nPOSITIONS: Any (safe) position (of the standard four positions: prone\, offhand\, sitting or kneeling) may be used at all firing positions.  Take into consideration that it will be the end of December and there will be snow\, shelter halves will be available to use as mats or you may bring your own or other improvised mat. The pits will be cleared and sanded. \nTIME: A time limit of 4 minutes @300 yds\, 3 minutes @200 yds and 2 minutes @100yds. \n5 ROUND RULE: if a shooter cannot get on target paper after 5 misses; he/she will be disqualified at that distance of fire and asked to cease participation at that distance. \nAwards: The winners will be mailed commemorative Plates.  Awards for the to the top three scorers. \n** Sight in Opportunity \nIf you need to validate your 100yd zero please come to the club at 0800 and to the 100yd
