For non-competition shooters we’ll help you through getting the most out of your range time. This event is open ONLY for members and their guests (BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR GUEST SIGN A RELEASE FORM.. This is only for rifles suitable for 500yd accurate shooting. \nNo muzzle brakes are allowed – Silencers are welcome – bring them if you have them. We will have some demo suppressors to try from time to time. \nWe have a very skilled group of shooters\, Some are State and Regional Champions\, experienced Wind Coaches as well as National and International Competitors who are ready to provide knowledge\, experience and coaching to build your shooting skills or to help any shooter who would like assistance. \nThis is a good opportunity for Club Members who wish to be VETTED to use the 500 yard Range (Please send an email to the Committee if you plan to attend for Vetting) to do so with qualified support. \nThis is a great opportunity for new members or prospective members interested in Rifle to get acquainted with Mid Range shooting and also accomplish 500/600yd Range qualification. \nIf you are not vetted for 500/600 range use\, but wish to be\, you should be prepared as follows: \n\nBring the specific rifle(s) for which you wish to be vetted.\nHave a 100-yd or 200-yd zero already set on that rifle.\nKnow how to make informed elevation adjustments on the attached scope.\nHave elevation tables for the specific ammunition you will be using (if using handload\, an equivalent factory table is recommended).\nHave a stable front and rear rest for use at these yardages (sling shooters should be equally prepared).\nHave a shooting mat\, tarp or other ground covering.\nPer safety rules at all ranges\, have ear an eye protection\, and an empty chamber indicator.\n\nYou should plan to arrive at the designated setup time\, inform the event coordinator that you wish to be vetted and be prepared assist with target setup.  Bring your rifle\, shooting mat\, bipod\, bags and ammo and especially your dope table. \nIf you have any questions about being prepared for vetting\, please send your inquiry to the committee email address: sfga.rifle@gmail.com. \nAs always\, safety is paramount.  Remember your Eyes and Ears as well as your empty chamber indicator.
